Something new has landed...

FAQ

How do I get there?

As caretakers and residents of a private home, we like to know who is coming (so we can make sure we are wearing our formal fuzzy slippers). We are also aware that maybe not everyone with access to a public website has the good intentions you do, and therefore we wait to get your info and verify that we are expecting you before we give out our address. This is also why you will not find it on facebook either. You can get the general location from the rest of the website, no doubt, and we will text you the address closer to the date of the event.

What should I bring?

A COAT: if you would like to walk down to the waterfront (a few blocks down and across the street), there are often a number of fireworks displays that can be seen from downtown and Vancouver.

Anything you would like to share for a party!

  • Food

  • Drinks

  • Games

  • Music

We would love any kind of contributions you can make in any way you can!

What kind of covid precautions are you taking for groups?

Inside and overnight: For groups we are asking that folks take a covid test before they come. Although we are a mask-friendly household in general, we understand that masks may not be practical for the kinds of gathering where food is involved. Please take your covid test immediately before arriving (an hour or so) or let us know in your registration if you will need one upon your arrival. If you have been around anyone who may have been sick, we would love it if you could wear a mask. Kids are showing us that the RSV+flu+covid combo is no joke. Let's enjoy each other while bringing in the new year healthy, yeah?

Outside: If you are planning on hanging out outside (however, it will be freezing!), we only ask that you distance yourself from the stairs so people can enter and exit with minimal contact.

What if I am not sure if I am coming yet?

If you think you might come, but are not sure yet, let us know anyway if any of the following apply to you:

  1. Need a covid test provided

  2. Have allergy concerns

  3. Have accessibility concerns (there are a LOT of stairs)

  4. Need a place to sleep or shower

  5. Need to arrange a carpool
